This family takes great pride in making virtually everything daily from scratch, and it shows. The Mole Poblano is outstanding, but the Pipian Verde is even better (I understand the Verde sauce is made in several small batches every day to ensure freshness). The tortillas used in many dishes are also scratch-made daily and are far superior to mass-produced one's served elsewhere. These are legitimate Puebla recipes and Phoenix is fortunate to be home to El Rincon Poblano.

We came here because we wanted to try a different style of Mexican cuisine that is not too common around Phoenix, Pueblan. We saw a review from the AZ Republic raving about it so we thought we'd give a try. If you are looking for something that is not the norm then this definitely has many offerings like goat stew and if you aren't, there are a few safe options like a quesadilla. They even have some ice cream behind the counter you can get afterwards. Service was great and wasn't very busy on a Friday evening.
This place has amazing authentic mexican food unique to the state of Pueblo and accurate to the pueblan cuisine. My only contention is the distraction created by a couple of the employees young children playing youtube channels at high volumes on their cell phones during lunch hours. Otherwise, this is my currently my favorite spot west of the 17.
They make the BEST mole poblano in town!!!! Served with a tender piece of chicken and a juicy pork rib & fresh homemade tortillas My family really LOVES their menudo too. The giant quesadilla with choice of meat is crazy good! We come here at least once a week. My favorite agua Fresca is the cucumber lime sooooo refreshing . We live 20 mins away from this restaurant but it's sooooooo worth it! If you love real Mexican food from Puebla, you've got to try it

Wonderful, friendly family atmosphere. Food truly Pueblo/Cholula style with outstanding AguasFresca pepino and pipian plate. And don't miss the huitlacoche quesadilla. Lovely spot
